Take-Two Confirms GTA 6 Release for Fall 2025

It’s finally happening! Take-Two Interactive has officially reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch in Fall 2025. After many speculation, and endless waiting, this confirmation came directly from the company’s latest financial meeting. CEO Strauss Zelnick assured that Rockstar Games is still on track to deliver GTA VI. What is likely to be the most anticipated video game of all time.

Rockstar Aims for Perfection – But Could There Be Delays?

Zelnick didn’t shy away from mentioning that there’s always a “risk of slippage”, a term that essentially means delays can happen if necessary. However, he quickly reassured everyone that Rockstar Games is focused on making GTA 6 a legendary experience.

“We feel really good about it,” Zelnick stated when asked about the Fall 2025 timeline. He emphasized that Rockstar is committed to perfection. History shows, they aren’t afraid to take their time. Yes, we all know what that means.

While this is great news, Rockstar fans know that the company has a reputation for pushing back release dates. Remember how GTA V was delayed twice?Same story with Red Dead Redemption 2. So while Fall 2025 is the target, don’t be shocked if it shifts a bit.

What Platforms Will GTA 6 Launch On?

It was confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Noticeably absent is any mention of a PC release. Which may mean Rockstar is following its traditional approach—releasing on consoles first and bringing the game to PC later. Or not.

For now, PC players will have to sit tight and hope that they won’t have to wait as long as they did for GTA V’s PC version.

Take-Two’s Stacked 2025 Release Lineup

GTA 6 isn’t the only major title Take-Two has lined up for the next year. Their report also confirmed several other upcoming releases, including:

  • Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 – Launching February 11, 2025
  • PGA TOUR 2K25 – February 28, 2025
  • WWE 2K25 – March 14, 2025
  • Mafia: The Old Country – Summer 2025
  • Borderlands 4 – 2025 (Exact Date TBA)

This makes 2025 one of the strongest years ever for Take-Two.

Take-Two’s Finances

Take-Two also shared strong financial results from 2024. Games like NBA 2K significantly boosted their earnings. But all eyes are on GTA 6 for now. It is expected to shatter sales records upon release.

Take-Two projects their to reach between $5.55 billion to $5.65 billion revenue in 2025. And even higher numbers are expected in 2026 and 2027. This may hint us GTA 6 Online release.

What This Means for GTA Fans

GTA VI has been at the center of gaming discussions for a few years now. Fans are still analyzing every “leak”, rumor, and official detail. Which we didn’t get much from Rockstar. But for now – it’s official. Fall 2025 locked in. We’re closer than ever.

Okey, now elephant in the room. When will we get the next trailer? Rockstar typically releases major trailers close to launch. In other words, we still know nothing about GTA 6 Tailer 2.
